About

I am delighted to be able to introduce myself to you. I have been a music teacher in the Christian school system since 1995, beginning in Lethbridge and now at Calgary Christian since 2000. I also have been a church musician since receiving a Diploma of Church Music from the King's University College in Edmonton and both a Bachelor and Master degree in music performance from the University of Alberta. I was awarded a scholarship from the Johann Strauss Foundation in 1988 for a year of music studies in Vienna, Austria and currently I am organist and music director at Highwood Lutheran Church and music director for the New Beginnings Choir.

I enjoy performing music with my family.  We sing together for devotions and perform both instrumental (piano, saxophone, violin) and choral music around Calgary for various community and church functions. We also enjoy traveling together and have done a back-packing trip through Italy and Greece, as well as a road trip to St. John's, Newfoundland. Movie making, hiking, canoeing and playing goal for the staff/student hockey games are also activities that I enjoy.

Music is an amazing gift given to everyone to give praise and glory to our God. Because of this, I am very committed to a Christian education that offers a strong music program. Therefore, we offer choral, and band classes here at CCS with extentions into worship, jazz and musical theatre. I look forward to working with your children and teaching them how music is a way to communicate our faith and joy in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
